Ralph couldn’t believe it. They were here, the navy, they were finally here. The navy frigate although crude and deadly looked like heaven to him. If you were stuck on a deserted island with a bunch of viscous psychos like Jack and his hunters, who had just killed your two best friends, then you would be crying from joy too. The tears were streaming down his weathered face. The liquid slid down Ralph’s cheeks peeling off in rivulets peeling of the dried dirt and blood caked on his skin. A tall man stood robotically not moving in the strong evening wind. He has a very clean and crisp white uniform on, his head held high topped of with a large round cap that Ralph recognised as a captains hat. Noone should have to witness their own brother be murdered. When he learnt about this, Ralph had sworn to Sam he would get revenge, but he had never found the chance. The two boys slowly slipped out of the living quarters and made their way to the outer deck. Ralph pulled the latch of the large, heavy bulkhead. The cool evening breeze hit them, the smell of salt lingering in the air. The rough waves were crashing against the ship’s bow, the water plastering Ralph’s hair to his forehead. They saw it instantly, an immensely larger ship painted in the light blue and white of a Russian Navy warship, was lingering on the horizon. Sailors and soldiers alike were filtering onto the deck manning cannons anti-aircraft guns. Ralph looked back to the ship, he could just barely make out the shapes of Russian sailors running around the deck of the warship. The dark cloudy sky was lit up a bright orange colour as plumes of fire erupted from the side of the Russian ship. For a moment Ralph thought they had been struck until he heard the whining, and saw the large black projectiles streaking through the clouds aimed right at him.
