I chose Leo Berkenwald, A.K.A. “Chaim Labe Berkenwald,” Because he looked like my Grandpa before he died. Leo was around twenty when it all started to happen. I was very shocked that one third of the polish population was jewish. They killed people just like in the book “Night.” Also like Night they took all of there belongings before they left to go to the ghetto. And if they tried to keep them they would not be able to hide it for very long until it was taken away. I also felt it was interesting that he remembered it so well to where he could go into heavy detail. All jews got sent to the ghetto like the book. They also made stuff for the germans. He also said there were around two-hundred thousand jews in the ghetto. I found it weird that
