Alphabet Incorporated Alphabet Incorporated, more commonly known as Google is a technology based company originally founded along a search engine. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, Alphabet is operated by CEO Larry Page. Their gross revenue for the last year was $74,989,000. This resulted in the gross profit of $46,825,000. Alphabet has 66,575 employees. These things put Alphabet at #36 on the Fortune 500 ranking. Alphabet is available on the NASDAQ under the ticker GOOGL. They are under the Technology sector, and in the Search Engine industry. Their stock is currently valued at $804.60. They have the largest revenue in their industry. First, and foremost is Google. Google has over 200 subsidiaries itself. The most popular services provided by Google however, are Google(search engine), Google Drive(data storage), Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides(word processing, slideshow creators, and data editing applications.), Google Maps(an up-to-date world map, with street travel directions), Youtube(Online video uploading, and viewing services, ANdroid(mobile device corporation), and Ads(ads providing services). The next subsidiary of Alphabet is Nest Labs. Nest is known for its futuristic programmable, self-learning, sensor-driven, home automation products. These products include thermostats, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, many different security cameras, and an app to drive it all. Headed by Andrew Conrad, Verily Life Sciences is Alphabet’s Life Science Department. Sidewalk Labs, based in New York City is an organisation based on urban innovation. Thc projects currently in the works include LinkNYC, which is turning of 7,000 pay phones into kiosks with free Google Fiber internet, video, and voice calling. More projects include Flow, which is trying to improve transit efficiency, and Project Sidewalk, which aims to create a new city to test design ideas.

Investing for Alphabet, Google Capital is a venture capital fund currently invested in 21 companies. These include SurveyMonkey, Lending Club, CommonFloor, FreshDesk, Credit Karma, Innolight, ZenPayroll, Oscar Insurance, CarDekho, and Care.com.
