I am applying for this summer program because giving back to the community has always been something that is I am passionate about. When I was in highschool I was a member of several service based clubs and completed over 100 service hours at various organizations. My passion for service continued as I transitioned into college. My first semester freshman year I joined Alpha Sigma Alpha which is a service based sorority. Alpha Sigma Alpha has allowed me to create a good balance in my life between maintaining a good GPA and being able to reach out into my community.
