Apple represents the closed market and Google represent the open market. Apple and their stance on providing a high quality experience has made Apple a closed off company. Google on the other hand has advocated for openness. Consumers will choose one or the other. The bait Apple and Google use is the one of which is better. Like the classic Apple versus Android debate, the debate becomes open versus closed. When people choose they are further entrapped but the range of services offered to them.
