Should students be all allowed to use phones in school? Many people can agree that cell phones should be allowed in school and some can disagree with that statement. There are reasons that explain that cell phones are just a distraction to students or that cellphones can actually help them when they are needed. But what if some of the reasons cell phones should be allowed in school are for emergencies? Yes there has been many horrible things that go wrong in schools like fires,flood,gas leaks and shootings. Parents worry about their children and what could happen to them. If cell phones are allowed in classrooms and are in danger , then they could take it out and call for an emergency phone line. That’s the number one reason why parents give cell phones to students and with some of school shootings, parents are worried that it could happen again but in their childrens school.” What Courtney Hardwick, the author of the article, is saying here is that some schools had some very very horrible things going on like fires , gas leaks , shootings or even something even more dangerous and a cell phone could be the only way to contact outside help. Another important observation has been made by many people from Debate.com , “ It is good for kids to bring the cellpones to school. If there is an emergency, the school won’t be able to call of the students parents. They probably won’t check their e-mail either. If a child brings their cell phones to school then they could alert their parents straight away.
