First and foremost, cell phones help with classwork. If a student is having trouble with looking something up in a textbook a cell phone is faster and easier to use. All right some students get distracted by phones, but most turn them off, leave them in their lockers, or use them when they're told to. Another way students are not distracted by phones is some teachers have specific places for cell phones, like boxes, or pockets to put them in.
