Cell Phones Should Be Allowed In The Classroom Have you ever had your phone taken away from you in class? Were you just looking up information for the project that you were working on in class? Many teachers have started to incorporate cell phones and technology into their lesson plans. The use of cell phones in school can have great educational benefits like fun learning activities that use cell phones or using them to look up ideas or information for a certain class. Cellphones can also be used for communication between teacher and students. In this essay I will explain why cell phones should be allowed in the classroom. In a classroom students should enjoy learning. The use of cell phones in class can have great educational benefits and make learning fun. In schools there is a special application used with the cell phones called Kahoot. It allows full class participation and gets the students to test their knowledge on what they learned in class as they compete against each other for points. The teacher creates questions on the concepts, or information the students learned in class, and the site creates a quiz out of it. The students can also make their own Kahoot and share it with the class as a project too. Another application called Duolingo helps students enhance their …show more content…
It can also be used as a reminder for activities that are going on in class and around the school. A great remind application we use in my school is Remind 101. Both students and parents can receive and communicate back with teachers in a safe and secure manner via text messages or an app that can be added to your phone. A similar app used for communication is Edmodo. The main difference with Edmodo is that teachers and students can communicate with each other via a message board which is great to get quick
