Abstract
In July, 1992 Don Rogers, the Vice President and General Manager of the Electronics
Products Division (EPD) at Allentown Materials Corporation found himself on a very difficult position. Conflicts related to leadership and cultural organization were blocking his administration and the division`s objectives were not accomplished.

Shift in leaderships styles:
When Bennet suddenly died, he left in the organization a sense of emptiness of power, and this perception was more sharply noticed when Roger appeared with an inexperienced and weak leadership. Maybe, Roger´s style wasn`t that weak, but the contrast between one style against the other, make looks the Roger`s one weaker. Sometimes, even, when a leader let participate the whole group, seems to be weak, when it is empowering.
