Allen Iverson also known as A.I. was a professional basketball player that played for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. He was a point guard that was is 6 foot tall and is now 42 years old and retired from the NBA. He was drafted by the Sixers in 1996 and played for 14 years in the NBA. He also played for the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and the Memphis Grizzlies. He also played for the 2004 summer olympic team and won a bronze metal. His coaches said that he barely went to the practices and somehow magic would happen. H e pulled off crazy shots and amazed the crowd wit flashy dribbling and flashy passes. A reporter once asked A.I. why wasn't he at practice and he said “we over here talking about practice, not the game that i go out there and die for, play every game like its my last. His mom relied on her mother to support her and her family while his step dad was behind bars. His mom's mother later died because of problems during surgery then the family began having problems. He began having conflicts in school because his family didn't have enough money to pay the electric bills and water bills. Other problems began piling up after eight of his close friends got murdered including his best friend. He was also in jail at age 17 due to a fight that broke out in a bowling alley that he wasn't included in. He stated that he left the bowling alley as soon as the fight started.The judge gave him 15 years but the white men that we also included in the fight weren't charged with any time. He later got out in 4 months because it was proven not true with the surveillance camera in the bowling alley.
