Allen can remember when the power and phone had to be shut off on multiple occasions because his family did not have any money. He even remembers when a broken pipe leaked raw sewage into their rundown apartment complex in Hampton. He has came a long way and worked very hard to become one of the best basketball players of all-time. Allen Ezail Iverson was born on June 7, 1975. His parents Ann Iverson and Allen Broughton were only 15 at the time that they had Allen. His father left shortly after he was born. But another man by the name of Michael Freeman came and lived with them to help support the family. Michael and Ann had two daughters, Brandy and Iiesha.
