I'm pretty sure the author wasn't trying to make it seem like it was going to be today's society. That's just what I happened to get from the book. There is a lot of allegory in Brave New World, but I decided to pick out the main allegory that I found. I compared technology in the book to how technology works today. I mentioned how relationships, intercourse, and reproduction works in Brave New World versus how they are in today's society. I also said that drugs/alcohol are abused in the book, and in this society. So, we have a lot in common with what the author wrote. I hope people will stop letting technology control them, find a long term relationship, fall in love, and stop abusing
