Allegiant is the third book in the Divergent series, it starts out where the second book ended when a genetic experiment is the cause of the faction system in the city of Chicago. The factions and factionless have rose to take over the city under Evelyn's rule. Evelyn is the mother of Tobias, who is Tris’s love interest. Tris, the main character has been invited to join the group, called the Allegiant, who rebel from Evelyn’s rule. Tris and Tobias then decide to break her brother Caleb out of prison, before he is killed for being a traitor.
