The speaker giving the presentation is Allan Savory who is an ecologist and worked heavily in areas of drought and desertification. Desertification is land that is turning to desert which is caused by too much bare ground. This process is the main point of the presentation and Savory explains what it is and how to counteract it with natural models. It has long been debated what ways can help this situation which has taken up more than one-third of our world. It has gained major concerns for the future and how differently life would be if desertification were to continue.
