I personally loved this book, All We Have Is Now by Lisa Schroeder, because of the characters personalities. Another reason is because of the adventure and surviving. there was a lot of adventure, trying to survive and romance.
For example, Vince is a teen who won’t give up. At the beginning of the book Emerson runs away crying and instead of just standing there waiting for Emerson to return, Vince chases after and gives her a pep talk of why not to give up even though the world might end.
Emerson is more on the sensitive side. She Doesn’t really talk about her family because she ran away from home. Even though she’s sensitive she knows how to cheer people up. For example, Vince and Emerson met a boy named Hayden who was 16, his dream was

With technology being more accessible to people, we have the capability of receiving constant updates on the latest stories, specifically news reports. The news offers us information on health reports, the government, and crime. Typically the news is our main source of information, especially for affairs in and out of the country, and so we use the content displayed in the news in order to determine the state of the world. With the news generally reporting devastating and horrifying stories, we assume that the world is in a state of mayhem and distress. Andrew Mack, a director of Home Security Report Project at Simon Fraser University, and Steven Pinker, the Johnstone Family professor of psychology at Harvard, wrote the article “The World Is Not Falling Apart”, published on Slate Magazine’s website, in order to present that although people believe that the world is more dangerous than it has ever been before, in reality the world is not.…

“How to tell your mother there will be no grandkids in her future” The Poem “How to tell your mother there will be no grandkids in her future” by Ira Sukrungruang is a very relatable and uses affective imagery to deliver very serious message. This poem is the best on the website “180poems.com” because it establishes that people cannot always make their parents happy. People often wish they had 3 lives just so they can be happy and make others happy and many people can relate to that. The speaker explains “Tell her you wish/you had three lives:/one for work, one for your dreams, / and one for her” (17-20) these lines are very relatable because many people wish they had extra lives so they don’t have to disappoint their loved ones with the extra…

“Aria” is a chapter from a book titled Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez concerning the topic of English acquisition for migrants. Rodriguez shares his past experiences as a Mexican-American whom had attended public schooling in Sacramento, California during his childhood years. The purpose of bilingual education is to allow foreign speakers to communicate in their “family language” at school to develop skills before maneuvering into standardized classes. His bitter interpretation of this program is that the method alters personal identity and does not fulfill the purpose that activists had set out, which was to maintain migrant’s primary language of Spanish while becoming fluent in English. Through utilizing personal experiences, the author…
