A totalitarian country has total control over the personal lives of their citizens, labor, education and housing. The government has control over the freedom, thoughts and speech. The citizens are not allowed to leave the country, open bank accounts or even enjoy the adventures of their environment. This centralized government is structured to believe that every citizen will freely sacrifice for the benefits of their country. For instance, North Korea has a totalitarian government because of strict rules and regulation over the lives of their citizen. This particular country has been ruled by the royal family Al Thani since the mid ninth century, but now recently has been ruled by Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani which is the son of Qatar’s former emir Shaikh Khalifa Hamad Bin Al Thani. Qatar originally was a part of the British territory until the royal family took over Qatar. A huge section of their political system is an elaborated ideology. The United States has approximately 10,000 troops located at the base in Qatar. Unfortunately, the United States is not the only country that has a base in Qatar but many others. According to ABC news, Qatar used their personal cash as they build a military base for easier. Since 2015, the labor reform in Qatar has failed the migrant workers. The labor reform decreased the protection that the migrant workers once had that allowed the some kind of freedom in the islamic and non-muslim faith county. There has been discussions on human rights in Qatar but actions that prohibited the rules and regulations of the country has not been enforced. Nevertheless, the country's human rights towards migrant workers has allowed the country to have the third largest natural gas reserves as well the money taken from the workers has allowed the country to have wealth. Since, the supply of migrant workers has increased there’s an area for unjust actions to take place such as, forced labor, freewill to leave the country and trafficking. Qatar seems to be dominating dependent on low-paid migrant labor because it gives the government absolute power and a higher GDP per capita.
