After reading the whole book it made me sad. Everything that John Grady Cole goes through and that he ends up with nothing. He left home as a young boy but he came home a man. With everything he went through he had no past experiences with being on his own and all the world has to offer. I picked this book because when I got this assignment I researched a few of the books and read the description of them, and All The Pretty Horses stuck out to be the most interesting to me. I think this novel was very well put together. The novel spends a good amount of time developing the setting and the characters. It was a very good story and I really enjoyed it. A motif that I noticed was the sunset. The sunset always seems to come when something is coming
