All the Pretty Horses is an adventurous story about two men named John Grady Cole and Lacey Rawlins, who flees Texas to Mexico on their horse. After John and Lacey reached Mexico they landed a job as cowboys. John was abandoned by his mother when he was just a child to Mexican woman. John loved horses and was taught about horses by his grand father. Rawlings comes from a less fortunate family and wanted to run away. Blevins, who is only a teenager seems to be a kid with no family that no one looked out for. The thing that relates all three of this young men was the fact that all three of them has experienced abandonment both emotionally and psychologicaly in a way and ended up running away to find a better life. After weeks passed by John found out Alejandra never left to France and in-fact she was staying at the ranch house. A few days later finds John Grady and Rawlins in the mountains, roping wild horses. Don Hector's greyhounds walk into their campfire circle one night, and the two suspect that Don Hector has found out about the affair, and come to the mountains to hunt and kill them. The next morning, the Mexican soldiers return. This time, they take John Grady and Rawlins away in chains. John was a loving person despite the fact his self repression and choose to be silent at times. Meeting Alejandra changed Johns life both for the good and bad. The good part about meeting Alejandra is John learned the language of love, she made him defenseless, lost in her eyes never to be found again. It was just love at first sight for john. But eventually any love story that is between a poor boy and a rich girl is the fact the rich girls family will never support the relationship and plot to end the relationship at all cost. But eventually John won the love of Alejandra and didn't stop them from having an affair. The bad thing for John is, his love dragged him everywhere which at last made him end up in prison. John fought to survive in prison in hoping to see Alejandra
