“He gave her a shove. But she did not move; rather she let herself be moved only by him and nothing else. They edged away from her, they would not look at her.” Margot has tried to share her experiences with the sun, but she fails when the kids do not believe her, so the other kids bully and make fun of her. On another day, Margot wrote a poem,”I think the sun is like a flower, That blooms for just one hour.” but a boy named William teased her and said,”’Aw, you didn’t write that!’” but Margot protests,”’I did…. I did.’” Since Margot doesn’t play with them, the kids don’t trust her and that is the reason why they reject her ideas of the sun. Sometimes, when people have never experienced something, people tend to believe that it is not true and that is what the kids are doing and why they are so inhumane towards her. This is why the kids are so jealous of Margot, because she keeps talking about the sun that they never
