Everyone has seen a movie? Read a book? Yes, of course. About a place that rains everyday? How would you feel? This essay will be about the differences between the book “ All Summer in a day “ to the movie. The author of the book Ray Bradbury really did not give us as much detail and information unlike Ed Kaplan (the artist of the movie). With the advantage of the movie details, Ed really showed a “ sad ” mood. In movies, the artist can make things very suspenseful with different shots plus the type of music. The book can really describe the setting if it has the right mood and purpose. Margot, the main character moved to Venus, where it rains all the time and the sun comes every seven years. Both of these authors use their knowledge to help make their story better understand to others. Between, the two mediums many differences separate the two and many similarities tie them together. Something to think about in both mediums is, What if they didn’t have music or lots of detail? Bradbury’s swing of detail is great, it is nothing compared to what else I’ve seen. Books and movies are great, people have different thoughts and they may have their ups and downs but both are amazing storytellers.
