Some kids eat cold food during lunch in school, while others don’t eat anything. Some say the hot lunch is a waste of plastic as utensils, others say that the hot lunch could be healthier. I think all elementary schools should serve hot lunch every day, it is both necessary and important.
Firstly, a hot lunch is good because it IS served hot, while home prep lunch prepared before 8:30 cools down during the 3 hours to lunchtime, and in the summer, cold lunches will be spoiled being hot. For example; a canned soup with a salad, an ice-cream sundae, and a manual can opener, when you arrive at your school the soup becomes cold, the salad is not fresh anymore, the ice-cream sundae melts and you lose your can opener.
Secondly, a hot lunch every day is convenient. When it covers every day, you don’t ever again need to worry about the day’s lunch, just the monthly fee. The paying fee is nothing compared to going to the grocery store buying supplies, waking up early making a sandwich and finding your meal cold every, single, day. …show more content…
