It was a big change for me, because I knew nothing about it. I didn’t know how people would treat me. When I got there, like I said, I got accepted with open arms. Now that I’m graduating, I can look at all these people and tell them thank you. Thank you for making me apart of your family. It is an honor to know each and every one of you and being able to share the smiles and laughs or the fights and arguments. Being able to be there when teachers are roasting on kids. We could be fighting one day, and the next day we would be laughing together.If there was a problem and someone was trying to fight you, someone would step in and help. Cause we are family. We love each and every one. I’m glad I am graduating with my family, and not with people strangers. I’m glad I am friends with everyone here at my old school. I used to have maybe 2-3 friends but going back to what I was saying before: You’re not alone. Everyone faces racism, but instead of wanting to fight them we can send a message by beating them on the field, or court.
