On July 4th 1776 the founding fathers of America signed the declaration of Independence. Their signatures on the paper meant adherence to the document and sentence above. However, wooden headedness didn’t allow them to notice how their actions contradicted the very message of the declaration. Fighting for independence yet they never saw the freedom they away took from their slaves on a daily basis. In 1896 there’s the case of Plessy vs Ferguson. The obstinacy of the people show a clear example of how Wooden headedness has a strong foothold in human society.
