As the "cultivate our garden" line states, no one line can tell someone how to lead their life, or justify many events that happen to someone. Sometimes, "all is for the best in the best of all worlds" holds true. In this fictional story, it held true in the big picture because Candide and Cunégonde marry, and all the characters live happily ever after. But "all is for the best in the best of all worlds" does not hold true for every event in the novel. It is simply a phrase coined by a creative man that sometimes was true.
