If I were to be stranded upon a desert island with a group of people, who are essential completely different than me culture wise, then I suppose there’s no specific degree in which I should impose my culture upon them. By this I mean that the degree in which I do teach about my culture and discuss my values with the separate people would probably be after I am capable of understanding their own culture. I find that imposing your own culture or ideas on someone, without listening and understanding their own ideas, is generally rude and disrespectful.
