Are we alone?
By Jackson Mingus, DeSales High School(Louisville,KY) There have been many story’s of people claiming to be abducted by aliens and people don’t think much of it, the information in my paper will make you want to know the truth about aliens. Many people believe Aliens are real and I think this is because of the high number UFO sightings, planets with oceans, and even NASA wants to protect us from extraterrestrial life. With all the information out on aliens it is hard to not believe in them. 100,000 UFOs have been spotted in the past 100 years. With that many UFOs being spotted and no explanation it makes people wonder if there are aliens out there that we don’t know about. Over half of the population believes in aliens and with all the UFOs that are seen it is hard for people not to. 2017 marks the most convincing year yet for believing that aliens exist. Roswell crash is the most well know UFO encounter. On June 14, 1947, a rancher named W.W. “Mac” Brazel

Enceladus has an ocean of liquid salt water underneath its crust that is made of solid ice. Enceladus is about 500 kilometers in diameter, which would fit in the state of Arizona, in the U.S. Its atmosphere has gases like as hydrogen and carbon dioxide and small amounts of methane which was detected by Cassini. It is known that microbes known as methanogenic archaeon produce methane as a waste product. These microbes could explain why there is methane in the atmosphere of Enceladus. Computer simulations were done to find out the amount of hydrogen that would be produced by the breakdown of olivine minerals. Olivine materials are found in the solid core of the moon. The simulations suggested that enough hydrogen was made by this process to allow the microbes to survive. These studies were done to test if there could be life on this moon. The results show that the moon could have life.(EMMA GREY

On the other hand, Daniel Loxton, a writer and illustrator who has been published in Skeptic magazine, claims that we cannot count on Betty Hill testimony of her abduction. Loxton says that when Betty began to have UFO dreams and nightmares it was not surprising: “she'd just sighted a UFO, made an official UFO report to the Air Force, read an entire UFO book, and written to the head of a UFO organization. It's fair to say she had UFOs on her mind” (Loxton). Indeed, after her experience Betty started to read about aliens and abductions to learn more about them. Also, Loxton explains that when Betty described the extraterrestrials, she was influenced by popular movies because the way she portrayed them changed as time passed.…

Since the late 1950s, there have been millions of claims from people worldwide of being abducted by aliens. In each case presented, there is a lack of evidence and memory. Many of the abductees stories have similarities such as seeing lights, taken aboard a ship where a series of tests were performed, and found in the woods. The only way many are able to retrieve their memories is by undergoing hypnosis. Are the abductees stories true and prove we are not alone in this world or is it simply a hoax and a cry for attention?…

However, in the 1947 New Mexico summer, some debris was found in a ranch near Roswell. This occurrence was later named “The Roswell Incident”. Saturn's geologically active moon Enceladus, with a diameter of approximately 505 kilometres, is small enough to fit inside the borders of India. Despite it’s small size and large distance from the, the unique conditions on this moon make it one of the most promising sites for hosting life in the Milky Way. In consice term, we can make this conjecture because there are hydrothermal vents spread across Enclelads which spew water vapour and granulated ice prticles from an underground ocean. The spewed plume includes many organic substances and gases along with salts and silicates. This along with many other factors, which we will be talking about later, can be generalized to make an environment habitable for life.…

Apollo 11 discovered that the moon is lifeless; containing no living organisms, fossils, or native organic compounds (SNASM). Extensive research and testing revealed no proof for life, past or present, to be found in the lunar samples. Because of the idea of aliens inhabiting the lunar land, a plaque was attached to the leg of the lunar landing vehicle that read “ HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH FIRST STEP FOOT UPON THE MOON JULY 1969 A.D. WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND” (SNASM). This plaque was signed by former president Richard Nixon along with all three astronauts that took part in the lunar landing mission.…

The area I am talking about is that we brought pieces of the moon back with us, rocks that would be nearly impossible to replicate here on earth and would actually be easier to gather by traveling to the moon and bringing them back with us. These rocks are laden with tiny holes from meteoroid impacts that are only possible on a planet with little to no atmosphere. Also, if examined, one would find isotopes that are the result of reactions with highly charged particles that could, again, only happen on a planet with little to no atmosphere. Another piece of evidence that implies a moon landing is the size of the team; at its peak, the size of the team that landed man on the moon was over 300,000. You would think after 45 years someone would have come forward with the supposed…

As of the 21st century, it is no longer controversial to believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life. While in the 16th century, a belief that life existed beyond Earth and its atmosphere may have led to a public execution (like it did for astronomer, Giordano Bruno), the same belief is held by 54% of Americans today. Given the evidence gathered through advanced space exploration and technology, the scientific community, as well as the general population, is more inclined to believe in extraterrestrial life. However, something that is more debatable, is the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life.…

The Moon Landing Conspiracy On July 20, 1969, the United States supposedly landed on the moon. Millions of people believe this, but millions don’t. Millions of people believe that the Apollo 11 mission successfully landed on the moon, and that Neil Armstrong was the first human to step on the moon, followed by Buzz Aldrin. Millions of people believe that this is a hoax, to win the “space race” of the 1960’s.…
