My favorite actress, Alicia Vikander, is a Swedish actress who was nominated for the 2016 Academy Award. She is one of the new rising stars in Hollywood. Because of her outstanding performance in the latest film, The Danish Girl, Alicia is getting more and more recognition and finally won her first nomination for the best supporting role, even though she had to go up against many big stars like Kate Winslate, Rachel McAdams and Roony Mara.
Although . I really admire her because of her touching performances in many films. She was not only nominated for the Oscar, but also The Golden Globes Award which is a big award for Hollywood. She won both awards which is very hard for this career to earn these awards on first time nomination. Some people were nominated five times but still have not won one.
Her appearance on the Oscar night caught the media’s eye. Alicia Vikander shined brightly on the red carpet as soon as she stepped in. Her brunette long hair was partially pulled up into a mini bun and left the rest hanging down on her back. She went with simple hair and makeup which drew attention to her beautiful features. She told the media that her dress for the Oscar was actually inspired by her favorite Disney princess, Belle, from Beauty and the Beast and it also was a dream come true wearing this piece of art because it is handmade. With her hair pulled back, Alicia’s radiant complexion shined through. The color of the gown perfectly complimented her healthy and glowing skin. And she completed the look with strappy silver heels.
