Her conscience slowly attacking her for her recent choice to pick up a new case, Alice hustled out of work and into her car. An intelligent woman at the least, Alice Sawyer possesses a job as a personal investigator at her own agency. The perfect life is what many would say, a loft in the city, recently married, and doing very well financially, Alice was the epitome of a perfect person. Little did she know, taking on Jane Russell’s case would flip her life upside down. A black suburban, blacked out windows, and a license plate of 4R5 6YT. Nothing out of the ordinary in downtown Chicago, but definitely not familiar to Alice. All the way home and next to her loft, lurking just far enough back to be unidentified, the car followed her. Thinking nothing of the events that happened the night before, Alice woke up the next the morning and performed the same things she did every morning; shower, brush her teeth, make her oatmeal, prepare her coffee, and drive to work. The white snow was falling delicately on the gray cement of the concrete jungle that is Chicago. On her way to work to meet with Jane Russell, she did not notice a black suburban.
