I still couldn’t believe it had been ten whole years since I had moved from this place, but I just couldn’t get the memories out of my head. I could still feel the classic Norvelt wind blowing across my face calling me out to come and realize that this is where I belong. Well, I guess it was correct because even, after all, I and my family moved to Florida things just didn’t seem to want to go right. As I walked through the neighborhood I could still see everything as it was ten years ago, even though this Norvelt was so new and different in many ways.…

In this paper, I will provide an analysis of Muhammad Ali’s personality using the Five Factor Model (McCrae & John, 1992) and its facets as described in the IPIP-NEO Narrative Report (Johnson, n.d.). My analysis is based on the contents of Mr. Ali’s obituary in Sports Illustrated (Hoffer, 2016). Evidence from his obituary suggests that Mr. Ali was high in extraversion throughout his life, relatively average in agreeableness, high in conscientiousness, low in neuroticism, and average in openness to experience. When it comes to the Extraversion factor, there was sufficient evidence that Muhammad Ali would’ve had a high-ranking score.…
