Initially radiantly dyed, they once beautified the vast palace of the great Assyrian kings (883–859 B.C.E.) The All American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) was founded by Philip K. Wrigley during World War II. Over six hundred women from around the United States played in this league while their loved ones fought in the war, earning them money and them being able to play the game they love. Several Major League executives created the AAGPBL to help them try to keep baseball in the publics eye. The AAGPBL helped bring these executives money to keep their stadiums open to the public so when their men came back from war they would still have stadiums to play in. This baseball league means a lot to me because it shows women breaking standards to play a game they love.…

Mohammed Waseem Chiraagh 1380983 ARCH 6313 - Critical Studies 3 Major Assignment Traditionally as humans, when critiquing a building our thoughts are based on the buildings form as a whole, one defined object or boundary made up of different components which creates the overall look, structure and how it fits into the contextual surroundings. In the text “Why Architecture Matters” Paul Goldberger, shows that not only the outer boundary or façade is important but that there is another dimension which is often open to wider interpretation and often disregarded when thinking about a building. This being the interior space within these boundaries, the interior of the building says a lot more than its exterior, as it defines the space, the light and the mood it creates.…

    Living With Art Essay

The religion of Islam for example has many restrictions concerning illustrations and overall art, such as prohibiting the portrayal of living animals, or beings in their art related to the Koran (and other spiritual writings), as did the Christian, and Jewish religions with the bible. However, Islam has taken this restriction to the extreme and expand the restrictions outside the realm of religious writings, whereas the Christians and Catholics later embraced and progressed the artistic process to further project their message and proclaimed glory. This is not to say that Islamic culture has not left an impact in the art world. As well as contributing advancements in landscape paintings that generally represented the sacred gardens written about in the…
