Due to the Fact that the character has created un realistic expectations, he fears and anticipates rejection, there for isolating him self from the world. The lines “ In the room the women come and go / Talking of Michelangelo” suggest his disconnect from women. Theses women Prufrock speaks about are upper class women, talking about fine renaissance art , who clearly Prufrock does not fit in with; there for showing disconnect and isolation from the world.
