Based on the provided scenario, and what we have learned within the Human Resources Management and Organisational Behaviour modules, Thuli’s two underperforming employees Alfred and Joseph will certainly have a negative impact on productivity in the business and a solution is urgently required, before things get any worse. Alfred, although good at his work, is not engaged and does not like to collaborate. Joseph on the other hand, in addition to being disengaged, is not focused and has no purpose but just seems to be tagging along. Thuli needs to look at engaging with them more and building trust between her and the employees, especially Joseph, as he does not have respect for her as his manager. Joseph even mentions to team members that she should never have been given the Key Account Manager position. …show more content…
