This evidence is from the legend of the helmet and the legend of the headband. If you don’t know what the plot for this story is, then I advise that before you read this, you should find these legends then come back and actually know what I am talking about. So one thing he did in this story that was in a way “great”. When his men brought him the helmet of water he poured it out on the sand in front of his whole troop, the thing about this that was great was that the water wasn’t enough for his whole troop. So in a way it was a generous thing to do for his whole troop because of there not being a sufficient quantity of water for his whole troop to have at least one sip. Now that start may sound bad but let’s ignore that and focus on the “great” parts of it. For instance, he actually conquered the “unconquerable Tyre”. This was great because it made the other cities more scared of Alexander because of his conquering of Tyre. My second piece of evidence is that he didn’t kill the people that took refuge inside the temple. This wasn’t as great as the last one but it still shows that he cares about what the gods think of him and his public image. Even though he did do some bad stuff it was overcome by all of the great stuff that he did.
