Alexander’s achievements can be noted and analysed in terms of his widespread influence and continuing force in the ancient world, of which we are aware, and his egotistical faith in his own being.
Alexander succeeded in many places throughout his career, and went on to dissolve the Persian Empire and beyond, for his own. Alexander was born into a situation, entitling him to be an absolute monarch, but despite this, it is perhaps true that he was in fact a charismatic and courageous leader. Though much of what we know of Alexander’s life and achievements can be seen to be overstated with the man creating his own legend . In his father’s life, Alexander was able to protect the Kingdom of Macedon, and in his death, he was able to prevent an invasion. The influence of Philip must be considered, as an impact on his work, and also his mentality and strategy. Alexander surely built upon what Philip had created, though Philip is categorically less famous, and recognised for his diplomatic and military skill and his reorganisation of the army
