Along side this he defeated the persians which the people of Greece had never done, until Alexander the Great came to power. He also was able to prefect a fighting style the Greeks had been using for combat known as Phalanx. He also cared deeply for his horse, so dearly as to have a city built and named after his horse, Bucephalus,died. Along side all this he trained to become as intelligent as he could by training under Aristotle. During his time of ruler, whenever he had a new city built, he named them after himself, from this came Alexandria which would later became the poster child for librarians.
