In 2008 McQueen dedicated one of his spring/summer line to Isabella Blow after she committed suicide. He stated, “her death was the most valuable thing learnt in fashion.” Two years later February 2, 2010 McQueen’s mother was found dead. One day before her funeral which was February 11, 2010 McQueen was also found dead which was reported as a suicide. Alexander McQueen’s story is very remarkable and outstanding. He is an international famous designer. In 2011, Metropolitan Museum Art in New York made a tribute honoring him.
