Alexander III well known as Alexander the Great is known to have one of the best military mind in ancient world. He was the king Macedonia and ruled from 336-323 BCE. He is the son of Phillip the II of Macedon and Olympias who was the princess of Epirus. He was a great leader and had good military skill which helped him overthrow the Persian Empire. Some people have mixed opinion on whether Alexander was a great leader. Professor N. G. L. Hammond and Professor Ian Worthington had different opinion of how great of a leader Alexander III was. Professor Hammond seems like he admires Alexander leadership and believe he desires recognition for it.
