Hamilton’s childhood was the main kickstarter to how he became a war hero and a founding father. Alexander Hamilton grew up dirt poor in the caribbean on a tiny island called St. Nevis. His parents James Hamilton and Rachel Lavien were never married making him and his brother James Hamilton J.r, different. They moved to a nearby island called St. Croix where things kept going downhill. His father left Alex when he was 10 years old and his mom died from a sickness that almost took his life too. Him and James Jr were then left with Peter Lavien, their cousin who didn’t even care about them. Peter ends up committing suicide.
