Taking into consideration all that I have learned; I believe Alexander Garner was the photographer of this photography of Abraham Lincoln. The Chapter 7 lecture supports that Alexander Garner avidly photographed scenes from the Civil War, scenery in the North and Lincoln and his troops. The Chapter 7 lecture text also supports that Matthew Brady photographer Abraham Lincoln and his son. This led me consider the facts and conclude whether Matthew Brady or Alexander Garner was the photographer of this photo. The text supports that Garner worked as a manager in Brady's Washington D.C. Studio. The text and lecture also state that Garner broke ties with Brady in 1863 to establish his own photographic venture.
