The Alder baseball team improved to 16-1 following their big road win against Buckeye Valley. The final score was 4-3 with another win in extra innings. Sophomore Zayvier Beachy was on the mound for the pioneers on Monday. Beachy pitched six and a third innings, allowing three runs. Junior Logan Smith finished the game out for Alder. Smith did not let a run come in on him, and got the win for the pioneers. The pioneers had their troubles on the defensive end with a total of four errors. Smith had this to say about the defense, “We are a great defensive team when we are really focused.
