Alcohol vs. Marijuana? For centuries marijuana and alcohol have been used for unnecessary purposes. In this world people are always asking which one is worse for you, Marijuana or Alcohol?, how will they affect you life if you still have one. One side believes marijuana is worse the other believes that alcohol is worse. I believe that alcohol is the worst addiction for you with negative physical and mental influence on your life. I have five reasons for why I believe this.My first reason is that alcohol with a high overdose you can die. The brain is one of the single most important organs in the body, without one you're dead and when it doesn't function right many things can go wrong. Alcohol is an addiction that can have very serious effects on the brain. In the source .medicaldaily.com it states that “When alcohol reaches the brain, it disables function by damaging the connective tissue at the end of neurons. This disrupts communication among neurons and makes it harder for an individual to focus or complete minor tasks.” this means that alcohol makes people's brain slower and has your brain at a slower pace.
My fourth reason is that alcohol can lead to liver disease and many other diseases. Alcohol can have a serious affect on the liver and even poison it. There are quite a lot of disease such as liver disease, heart disease, Immune system dysfunction, brain damage, and even cancer. The earlier a person begins drinking, the greater the risk. A survey of over 40,000 adults indicated that among those who began drinking before age 14, nearly half had become alcohol dependent by the age of 21 but only 9% of people who began drinking after the age of 21 developed alcoholism.” that means people are doing a number of under aged drinking which slows the learning process and development of the brain and becoming alcoholics.
So in general for many of years people have wondered which is worse for you marijuana or alcohol? I believe that alcohol is worse for you because, an overdose can be lethal, others can pay for your actions, your brain suffers also, alcohol can lead to disease, and that you can be harmed both physically and mentally by becoming addicted.
