Public service announcement: Today we will be talking about the dangers of alcohol, and how you can prevent them. Alcohol is a substance which can easily be abused. Many parents have alcohol in their homes, in not hard to reach places. Kids can easily get to it once their parents go out to do something. Alcohol by itself is not healthy, because it intoxicates the brain, and makes it so you cannot clearly think about what you’re doing. However, this can easily be abused to the point where it poisons your brain so much, you can die from alcohol poisoning. Children do not have the responsibility necessary to drink alcohol, which is why it’s restricted to anyone under 21. But, this does not stop people under 21 from getting their hands on alcohol. …show more content…
As for the dangers associated with drinking alcohol, it can destroy your liver, binge drinking alcohol can cause blackouts, which can damage your brain, among other things that can damage your brain. Alcohol causes higher blood pressure, which makes you more prone to a heart attack. There’s also the danger of getting alcohol poisoning from drinking too much. You may get seizures, vomiting, trouble with breathing, slower heart rate, extremely low body temperature, trouble staying conscious, and more. Ways you can prevent younger people from drinking alcohol is to make sure it is put into a place they cannot get to, and it is locked. At any time, do not have too much alcohol just in case they do get their hands on it, and if you do notice some missing, ask your children just in case they took some. A better way would to prevent, is to just not buy any alcohol at all, because the effects of it don’t only apply to younger people. Remember, having a few good times isn’t worth your life in the long term. Don’t give in to the hype surrounding alcohol, and even if you do, drink it responsibly. Thank
