Alcohol Persuasive Speech

As a teenager myself, I have heard the “do not use drugs” or “do not drink” speech more times than I can count. Sure, there are children who will still risk their lives in order to fit in with the “cool kids” at their school. Seeing as though I have an older sister who did become addicted to opioid narcotics and alcohol, I know exactly what illegal substances will do to not only your body, but to your future in society. The first time you take a sip of alcohol, it will feel as if you are flying. Since it is your first time drinking, you will feel like you are walking on the clouds. In that same moment, your entire life and everything you ever planned for will come crashing down in a matter of a few sips. Studies have shown that even just one sip of alcohol can trigger an addiction that, if untreated, can last a lifetime. Do you really want to spend every dime you make supporting your addiction? …show more content…
Instead of cirrhosis, your body will receive a boost of “energy” that it will now learn to crave. Before you inhaled those few specs of cocaine at your best friend’s party, your dopamine levels were at a normal-functioning level that is enough to keep your emotions high and your stress levels low. With cocaine in the system, the brain loses the need for dopamine, so it stops secreting it into the bloodstream. From now on, your body will urge you to obtain this drug, and if you do not seek the help of a professional, you will give in to that
