Writing Assignment #2 Alcohol has been the main cause of drunk drivers killing many pedestrians as well as almost killing themselves. Driving intoxicated has been around for many centuries but in every century it is increasing drastically. The Untied States drinking age is 21; I believe the age should be 25. The reason I believe that is because many 21 year olds and below are the main causes of drunk driving. Although there are others who are older that have also been a cause of it, the younger ages out way it. Many teens or under 21 tend to think they can drive fine while intoxicated, underage drinking is a main issue as well. Which is never correct. Statistics show that every 2 hours someone is killed in a highway drunk driving crash.
