In fact, according to DO SOMETHING.org, 5,000 people under the age of twenty-one die each year from alcohol-related car crashes, homicides, suicides, alcohol poisoning, and other injuries such as falls, burns, and drowning.
In contrast, lowering the alcoholic drinking age from 21 to 18 will irresponsibly allow a greater segment of the population to drink alcohol in bars and nightclubs. Raising the alcoholic drinking age decreases drinking among young people, it promotes fewer dropout rates and protects adverse birth outcomes, and alcohol drug dependence.

Increasing the drinking age is very necessary and would save more lives. The increasing death rates related to underage drinking proves that those 21 and under are irresponsible with liquor and with the age limit being 21 it gives easy opportunity to underage teens to get liquor due to them having a friend or knowing someone 21 to get it for them.
