It sure is something when one drink can end up taking your life away just by making one simple decision. Alcohol can be a deviant act in someone’s daily life. It also is something that can change a person, a family, a life, and this world all in one bottle. People drink their lives away thinking that there is not a worry or care in the world, when in reality, it is a whole different story. While people spend fortunes on alcoholic beverages, there can be a human price to pay at the end. Fortunately, people can make the choice whether to get help with their alcohol addictions, or they can slowly end up taking away their life.

Thankfully, alcohol abusers have a choice to go to rehab or go through detoxification. “Alcohol detox is an important preliminary step in the management of alcoholism” (Alcohol Detox Programs). These effective treatment programs can basically bring someone back to life and make them a new person with having a fresh start in life. Even though the process is very long and can be difficult, there are many benefits of going through detoxification. Medications can be given to the alcohol abuser from the doctor so that the body can handle the dangerous symptoms that take place within the detoxification process. One alcohol detox program is Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). “Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is famous, infamous, global and highly influential, and it is based on giving up booze, completely.” (Smith) This program helps people get through their alcohol addictions along with their social disorders, and other problems also. When doctors give the patient pills to help with moderation during the process, this can help the body with getting used to
