Nebulizer: the amount of drug is 2.5mg for every 6-8hrs as required.
For chronic obstructive pulmonary disease:
Metered inhaler: 2 puffs for every 6hrs based on requirement.
Capsules to be inhaled: 200mcg of drug can inhale at every 4-6hrs, it may increase to 400mcg can be inhaled for every 4-6hrs based on requirement.
Nebulizer: the amount of drug is 2.5mg for every 6-8hrs as required
For bronchospasm and prophylaxis:
Metered inhaler: two puffs of drug should be inhaled before exercise.
Capsule: 200mcg of drug should be inhaled before 15 min of exercise.
For asthma maintenance:
Metered inhaler: two puffs for every 4-6hrs.
Tablets: it should be taken orally, 2-4mg for 3-4times a day.
Sustain or extended release tablets: it should be taken orally, 4-8mg for every 8hrs; it may increase to 16mg maximum.
Children dose:
<1 yr.:
Nebulizer: the dose is about 0.05-015mg for every 4-6hrs
1-4yrs:
Nebulizer: the dose is about 1.25-2.5mg for every 4-6hrs.
5-11yrs:
Nebulizer: the dose is about 2.5mg for every 4-6hrs in a day.
