All of the points of this research reflect the reasons as to why the hunting of people with Albinism has remained prominent in sub-Saharan Africa. When looking at the role witch doctors play, it is found that they did play a substantial role in Albinos actually being murdered. The people with Albinism would be mutilated so they could then be handed over to the witch doctors, who would, in turn, make them into potions or use them in rituals. Although the witch doctors and the people who hunt Albinos were the ones actually involved, there were many other reasons found that play just as much a role as the people committing the crimes directly. This is due, in part, to the lack of licensed doctors in sub-Saharan Africa. When researching possible causes citizens might have to use alternative medicine such as witch doctors, it was found that sub-Saharan Africa has encountered a dilemma, in that, once doctors receive their training and education, they emigrate to a first world country to practice medicine. Doctors emigrating from sub-Saharan Africa has led to licensed doctors becoming sparse in many areas across this region, which is a reason that many revert back to witch doctors. Other dilemmas found that are causing the hunting of Albinism to remain prominent in sub-Saharan Africa go hand-in-hand, it is corruption in the government and the potential monetary gain. The people who hunt Albinos receive between $2,000 and $75,000 per person with Albinism and are rarely imprisoned due to corruption in the government. Besides the government being cautious in imprisoning suspects, it is also found that politicians are participating in rituals involving Albino body parts by witch doctors for luck in their elections.
