Alan Menken: New Rochelle High School

Alan Menken went to New Rochelle High School, located in New Rochelle, New York, U.S. Throughout his high school period he had participated in many music based activities. In 1967, he received the signature of the concert master of the New Rochelle High School orchestra. As you can tell, Menken never fails to bring music into everything he does and everywhere he goes. Later on, Menken enrolled at New York University, located in New York. Menken transitioned from Pre-Med to Anthropology and finally to Philosophy. Lastly, Menken drifted from Philosophy to Musicology and graduated with a degree in that course in the auspicious year of 1971.
