Alan Henry Weekend

I’m excited, this weekend my family and I are going to Lake Alan Henry. We are going to have so much fun swimming, fishing, and hanging out around the fire. Sometimes we will even sing and dance to all kinds of music. My aunt and uncle are coming, they are super fun and love to spend time with family. They are also bringing my cousins who always play hide and seek with my siblings and I. My cousins can be kind of annoying at times and one of them is really bossy. Anyway we are on our way and it’s only about a forty five minute drive to Post, then another fifteen minutes to the lake.

Since it’s dark we are all sitting around the fire. My mom has music playing and my dad is dancing to it with my cousin. My aunt thinks it is a good idea to make smores, so my mom stands up and right as she walks away her chair nearly falls in the fire. My uncle went to save the chair and his foot gets caught on the side of the fire pit. He had broken his foot my aunt yells. My mom had run out of the camper and immediately drove him to the hospital. My parents had told me to babysit all the younger kids until they got back. They were gone most of the day the next day. My dad came to pick us up and we went to visit my uncle in the hospital. He was telling us stories about how my mom was flipping out the entire way to the hospital. It was actually quite funny. My uncle was stuck in the hospital for a couple of days and when they released him, he had to come home with us because my aunt had to work and couldn’t watch over him. Anyway he stayed with us for about week and we had so much fun. We played games and ate lots of ice cream. Sadly my uncle had to go home, but I’m glad he broke his foot, because I got to hang out
